A Canadian society raising awareness about chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) will make a stop in Winona next week.

The National CCSVI Society (NCS) is sponsoring the patient information session with Dr. Bill Code on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 7-9 p.m. at Winona Vine Estates, 269 Glover Rd. The session during the event, which is free to attend, will include a talk by Dr. Code, an NCS board member and NCS medical director, as well as four patients who have undergone treatment for CCSVI, including local residents Peter Schipper and Janet Driessen.
