I had ccsvi procedure Aug. 27 2010 and felt as though whatever higher power is out there, finally answered my prayers. I was back to the way I was before MS took my existence the way I had known it away. My family and I felt like we actually were experiencing a miracle. It is now Jan. 6 and my miracle has slipped through my fingers and MS symptoms are back with a 'bad attitude'. Has anyone else post ccsvi running(falling) into the same disappointments? I feel so ruined by this. In tears I have even said "Zamboni was wrong!" Anybody out there with any advice?

Restenosis

Dear newSusie. My wife Ruth had 3 Liberation procedures in one year. The problem is that we are not certain how to keep the veins open permanently. What you have learned is this: 1: MS in not "incurable" 2: when your veins are open your symptoms disappear; 3: When your veins close up again your symptoms return 4: conclusion: get your veins checked with a Haacke MRI or a Doppler from Barrie Vascular Imaging to find out what is blocked. You need another angioplasty from surgeons who know hot to do it right. Where were you treated?

keep the faith.......................

Susie- It's been a fact that many people have closed back up after angioplasty. It's almost to be expected...or at least, not surprising when it happens. I, too, had angio in August of 2010 and have had another ultrasound by another MD to check the status of my jugs. I'm waiting for him to return from vacation (the man really deserves one) to hear from him. I'm so sure that I'll need another "opening". Since the first procedure, my bladder function is almost back to "normal", I'm off anti hypertensive and thyroid meds and am sleeping much better.....I know of one person who has had three procedures within one year. It seems to be the nature of the beast!. I'll take it. Don't loose faith in this treatment. Take a deep breath and carry on.................

As you know, stuff can go

As you know, stuff can go wrong & symptoms regress for many reasons, not just "it didn't work for me"; I just urge you to get double checked to see the reason behind it (i.e. did you get a stent, and is it somehow not working properly; did you get balloon implants and have they for some reason deflated etc.). I myself have not had this procedure yet, but I would do it tomorrow, if I had the money.
