Jack Burks MD, an neurologist and the Chief Medical Officer of the National MS Society acknowledged that the divide was essentially a "turf war" between neurologists and endovascular interventionalists. He accused interventionalists for being "cowboys" who "overstate the positive value" of vascular treatments in an effort to extract money from desperate patients.

So Dr. Jack Burks, admitted that money is the driving force in treating MS not only for his neurological colleagues but also for the interventionalists. We all knew that, but nice to have it confirmed. He also tacitly acknowledged that CCSVI works by saying that results are overstated. You can not overstate nothing.

These comments were made on Jan 17, 2011 at the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy held in Miami Beach.

Dr. Burke wants to form a task force of patients, interventionalists and neurologists for to create a "united message". My take on this is that it is a stall and a way for the looser stay in the game and recruit compromised patient advocates, who exchange web links with the NMSS. Anyone who joins with Dr. Burks, are not real patient advocates. We are. And here is our message: "We are getting worse day by day, living with symptoms that could be relieved today if you just did what you swore to do, Dr. Burke, look after us we could be getting treated for CCSVI. You talk "science" but you do not talk pain, suffering and death. You are using money raised to relieve our suffering to delay the implementation of CCSVI the first thing that really work. If the medical profession and your conscience does not hold you accountable, God will".
